Customers of the UpGuard platform can collaborate with their vendors to gain a deeper understanding of their security posture through a security questionnaire. Steps for completing a questionnaire from a vendor's perspective are shown below.

For Vendors:

Step 1
You will receive an email inviting you to access the UpGuard platform to complete the questionnaire.

Step 2
Click "Complete questionnaire" on the email to gain access to the platform and setup an initial password.

Step 3
Once you have received access to the UpGuard platform, all open questionnaires will be listed under the "Answer questionnaires" section of the tool. Simply click on a questionnaire to begin.

Step 4
Once you have selected a questionnaire to answer, the following screen will appear. To get started, select "Actions" followed by "Answer questionnaire."

Step 5
The following screen will appear, which is where you can start adding your answers. You will have the option to either "Save and close", which will allow you to save your progress and return later, or "Submit" to send the results directly back to the customer requesting this information.

Step 6
Once the "Submit" button has been selected you will see the following screen confirming the submission with one final "Submit" button.

Step 7
Once the questionnaire has been submitted you will see the status change to "Submitted."

Step 8
If you would like to amend a response once the questionnaire has been submitted, you can select "Actions" followed by "Update answers" as shown below.

Step 9
If at any point during the process you need to send a message back to the customer, you can navigate to the "Correspondence" section. The customer who sent the questionnaire will also be able to send messages to you.

Step 10
Finally, once the questionnaire has been completed, you will be able to download a copy via the Export function:

How to Collaborate to Complete a Questionnaire

You can invite colleagues to help complete a questionnaire by clicking the + button and selecting "Share with another user." This will bring up an interface to enter your colleague’s email address and modify a short message that can be sent with the invite. If the user has never logged into UpGuard before, they will be prompted to register.

For Customers:

What's Next?

Once the vendor has submitted their information, you can review the questionnaire. You can monitor the progress of your questionnaire and optionally correspond with the recipient of the questionnaire via the Questionnaires page.
