Our Risk Report feature generates a downloadable PDF that summarizes the security posture of your organization. The report is designed to be shared with internal stakeholders who may not be familiar with UpGuard. The language is simple, easy-to-understand, and suitable for non-technical audiences.

It can be configured to include automated scanning results, competitor analysis, geolocation data, and underlying risk details.

To aid in remediation efforts, the report unpacks your security posture into five categories: website security, network security, brand & reputation risk, email security, and phishing & malware.

Each category outlines the underlying risks, impacted domains, and provides remediation advice with the most severe risks of each category appearing first.

How to generate the report

To get started, head to the BreachSight Executive Summary by clicking Executive Summary under BreachSight in the sidebar. Your screen should look similar to the screenshot below.

From here, click Generate report in the top right corner of your screen (to the left of Export). This will bring up a modal that allows you to configure the report.

The four configuration options are as follows:

  1. BreachSight Overview: Toggles the inclusion of your security rating, average security rating across your industry, and the summary of the number of risks identified across severity and category

  2. Risk Category Breakdown: Toggles the inclusions of a breakdown of each risk category, its underlying risks, and impacted assets.

  3. Competitor Analysis: Toggles the inclusion of the competitor analysis

  4. BreachSight Geolocation: Toggles the inclusion of geolocation information

When you are happy with your selection, click Export.
