Getting Started with Breach Risk: Part 5

Set warning-sign notifications, report on what you need to see, and compare your posture to your competitors

This guide discusses functionality from across product tiers and may reference functionality not available on your account.

Step 1: Notifications and alerts

From Home>Manage notifications, turn on the notifications that will help you better manage your attack surface.  A few warning sign notifications we recommend:

  • Risk above ‘x’ severity added
  • Domain or IP score drops below ‘x’
  • Score drops below ‘x’
  • Score drops by ‘x’ in ‘y’ days
  • Vulnerability detected

Step 2: Report

Use reports to deliver information to leadership or key stakeholders or to get the higher-level snapshots you’re looking for. A few reports we suggest:

  • Board summary report: combines Breach Risk and Vendor Risk insights to give board members a general understanding of your security posture.
  • Breach risk summary report: a condensed version of Executive Summary that includes insight into open risks by category.

Step 3: Competitor analysis

Breach Risk>Executive summary includes a section for competitor analysis. Add up to 9 competitors and track their (and your) ratings over time.

Adjust the time frame to get more granular insights.
