Delete your user account
What happens when you delete your user account
Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. Please read the below before deleting your account.
What happens at the user level:
- You will no longer be able to log into any UpGuard accounts associated with the corresponding email address.
- All email notifications and alerts will stop.
What happens at the org level:
- The org account is not deleted, it remains active.
- The user's account deletion is recorded in the audit log.
- The user's approver assignments are deleted.
- Scheduled report exports created by the user are deleted.
- The user’s historical involvement in questionnaires, remediation requests, etc remain visible in the UpGuard.
- Assigned tasks remain as they were (i.e. assigned to the user), they remain visible in UpGuard so that they can be reassigned.
- Questionnaire automations are unaffected, they are not deleted.
- Organization level API keys, OAuth tokens, and integrations are unaffected and continue working as they were.
Delete your user account
All users except the last admin on paid accounts can delete their user accounts.
🛑 Please read the section above before deleting your account.
- Click the account name in UpGuard’s upper-right corner.
- Click your name from the dropdown menu.
- Click Delete account.
- Select a reason for deleting your account.
- Type DELETE in the corresponding field.
- Click Delete account.
Your account is now deleted.
