Use this guide to request removal of a specific Reddit post that misleads users, impersonates your brand, or infringes your intellectual property. If the same account repeatedly posts abusive or deceptive content, consider reporting the user account as well.

1) Gather Evidence (before you file)

  • Direct post URL

    • Open the post and copy the full URL from the browser address bar

  • Screenshots of the post

    • Include the post title, body text, images, links, username, subreddit name, and timestamp

  • Any off-platform links referenced

    • Expand shortened URLs and document why the destination is deceptive, fraudulent, or infringing

2) Report the Post on Reddit (recommended first step)
