User Risk: Executive Summary

Executive Summary overview 

Executive Summary on User Risk gives you:

  • high-level insights into everything that’s going on with User Risk.
  • the ability to dive into the areas you want to know more about.

The table below explains what each widget on Executive Summary shows.

Widget What it shows 
Total users The total number of users from your directory that are being monitored by User Risk.
Identity breaches  The total number of breaches where we’ve detected exposed details related to your users.
SaaS apps The total number of SaaS applications users have accessed. This is determined by directory and extension usage.
Shadow AI Apps The number of SaaS applications that UpGuard has classified as shadow AI. These are AI apps that UpGuard recommends investigating and setting a policy for.
Risk overview Your organization’s overall user risk rating and posture. You’ll see an overall rating (a calculation based on all of your user’s individual ratings), a breakdown of ratings and trends over time, and a risk severity tracker.
Users
  • A donut chart showing how many users fall into each rating category.
  • An overall team rating and a breakdown by team so that you can compare team behavior.
  • An overall role rating and a breakdown by role so that you can compare role behavior.
Identity breaches The total number of identity breaches segmented by breach status. We also list the the data type exposed across 1 or more of the detected breaches.
Apps
  • The total number of detected apps categorized by their approval status.
  • A list of apps detected over the past 7 days.
  • A list of all app categories across all detected apps.
Directory information Details about the User Risk directory integration including the directory type, the total number of entries in the directory, and the subset of entries without emails.
Permissions A list of all of the permissions (by category) that users have granted to apps. 

Ex: if a user has given an app permission to view and manage spreadsheets in Google, you’ll see “Google Sheets” listed as a category.

 

Using Executive Summary 

Use User Risk’s Executive Summary to get easily readable and shareable insights from across User Risk.

Then, click on or within widgets to jump to that widget or content’s data source. For example, clicking Total users takes you to the users tab, while clicking the approved slice on the Apps widget takes you to the Applications tab, filtered for approved apps only.
